Concept art from Tangled by Claire Keane. I love how she can draw in different styles.

Marahute
Glen Keane always talks about animating with sincerity. When animating a character you need to understand him/her fully, predict their reactions, their feelings and foresee the way they will move, staying true to themselves.
Marahute moves like a magnificent eagle, and not like a human, but Glen gave her a relatable characteristic. He allowed us to be able to read as clearly as if she were speaking, what she’s saying or thinking.
I love these suble little movements that made her majestic, comedic and real!
omg i love these sketches ;__; all that anatomy!!!!
character developing through animation..tarzan ‘holding soap’…lol
Glen Keane’s Tarzan Animation Tests
So earlier this weekend I went to an art gallery show with Jaxxy, Mike and Tomar in LA that was featuring Glen Keane’s artwork. Our big surprise was that Glen himself was having a special art class for the kids there. I was spazzing out like crazy, well on the inside, I totally kept my cool

Anyway, I asked him if he could draw Bastion in my sketchbook. For those who don’t know Bastion was the original male hero for Tangled during early concept stages.
But the heads decided to change him for Flynn, but I still had a keen spot for Bastion. Glen had to double take on my request and he was really impressed that there are people that really do look deep into behind the scene stuff. Course it took him a bit to get Bastion right but no complaints.
Glen was such an awesomely nice dude and I’m really happy I had the opportunity to meet and greet with him.
Thanks Glen!
