disneydrawls:

Pocahontas concept art…again :) I just adore her and her free spirit!  Her old designs are nice, but they make her look a little bit too childish.

Now, in the next post….DUDUDUDUDUM

Sketches of JOHN SMITH AND POCAHONTAS!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE <3

disneydrawls:

The scene where John and Pocahontas first meet! Glen Keane captured a beautiful moment through rough sketches…so subtle yet so lovely….

John Smith is exploring the wilderness..until he hears a sound. Savages? He listens carefully….behind the waterfall! He slowly approaches with a gun…then bam! He jumps out of the waterfall and aims, but he sees a beautiful woman…not what he had expected.  He lowers his gun and approaches her in curiosity. Pocahontas does not budge, as she is curious as well. There’s a moment of silence as the two survey each other’s faces………….

Hope my summary of the scene didn’t sound too mushy…oh well.  I have too much Pocahontas stuffffffff :) Next shall be……..John’s execution day! HO MA DEAR it’s so emotional :’(
